Privacy

We collect as little as we can, and we tell you exactly what.

What we collect

DigitVibe Corporation operates this publication. For privacy requests, use our contact form.

  • Email address when you subscribe, request a subject, sponsor, become a patron, or contact us.
  • Credit name, if you ask to be credited.
  • Payment details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • Messages you send through the contact form.

Cookies, analytics and your choices

Google Analytics is optional everywhere. We do not load its tag or send analytics pings before you opt in. Rejecting optional storage does not restrict the site. to change or withdraw consent.

If you opt in, Google receives public page views, a pseudonymous browser identifier, and browser/device information. Connection information, including your IP address, is necessarily transmitted to Google. GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not send names, emails, form contents, user IDs, URL queries/fragments or private payment/status paths. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled.

Our consent preference is stored locally as arh-cookie-consent, with its policy version, choice and date, for 180 days. Google may set _ga and _ga_* cookies for up to 180 days after opt-in. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable analytics. Withdrawing stops future collection and removes accessible Analytics cookies on this site; it does not automatically delete data Google previously collected.

Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Read Google’s privacy policy and Google’s business data safeguards. Essential security/session storage and payment-provider storage support the services you request and are separate from optional analytics. Privacy and access/deletion rights depend on your location; contact us to make a request.

What we do with information you provide

We use your email to send what you asked for: the newsletter, order updates, receipts, and replies. Payment and email providers process information needed to provide those services. We do not sell your email or publish billing details, and we do not use advertising trackers. Paying does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

Research and AI

Parallel processes research queries and relevant subject names, supporting context and links for web research. Our AI providers process the material needed for screening and writing. Do not include private or sensitive information in your request context.

Newsletter

Subscriptions deliver The Daily Reckoning plus monthly editions when published, either daily (at most one email per day) or in a weekly roundup. Monthly publication does not change your chosen email frequency. Optional topic interests determine which whole monthly editions qualify; the Daily Reckoning is included for every subscriber. There are no separate topic emails. Subscriptions and preference changes require email confirmation. Every edition email has an unsubscribe link.

Retention

Order records are kept as long as tax law requires. Consent choices and Analytics cookies have the lifetimes described above; Google Analytics report retention also depends on the property’s settings and Google’s processing rules. We do not promise that withdrawing consent erases historical reports.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to your privacy regulator. Use the contact page to make a request. We may need to verify your request and retain records required by law. For analytics requests, include the relevant dates and page URLs, but do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. Your settings apply to this browser; other browsers and devices have their own choices.
